Tantra deals with human development bringing harmony, inner peace and happiness. As it has the ability to touch different parts of the human psyche, it is another treatment method for depression. Depression may be lodged at various levels of our subconscious.
How does depression come about?
Depression generally appears when there is stagnant life energy, the “wounds” that we experience during our lifetime. Most of them start in childhood. All sorts of pains, traumas and difficult experiences accumulated in our body involve our emotional and physical bodies. They create a deep body weight.
All these injuries, accumulated during life, become part of our being and are not always felt in a conscious way. They begin to express themselves first in thought.
Our thoughts become heavier, pessimistic, more depressing, hopeless, distrustful. Depression usually comes as a result of our distance from the source, our deep, calm self. The essence, inhabits all of us, in these moments of depression is there in the background.
We forget our true nature because we are carrying so much pain.
When you begin to treat depression through Tantra, you get to work in every aspect of your life.
Tantra to Relieve Depression
We can begin with the fact that the deep connection to pleasure is transformative in and of itself. The sensation of intense pleasure can help us to reach deep and healing spiritual experiences. Coming the pains of our subconscious.
There, this energy begins to transform this hard and painful reality. It creates a more optimistic view of life where you feel more secure and comfortable.
The process is done through physical, respiratory and emotional expression exercises.
It is impossible to live a world of joy and vitality when the physical body is heavy, dense , closed.
This weight of the body affects our thinking, our optimism. Our ability to make us aware that we are in a good, safe and resourceful place.
With Tantra, you learn to open, to surrender, to use exercises and movements; and as we “let go” we give the brain the message that all is well. The brain then shuts off the “close” mode. Later, we began to practice emotional work. To move the emotions, to move the energy inside our body and to reuse it in other parts of the body. This supplies our higher Chakras.
As we have already explained, sexual energy is the strongest physical energy that drives our body, and our vital energy.
Depressed people generally have the vital energy down and have nowhere to draw the strength to begin a transformation.
Through Tantra, you learn how to release sexual energy, how to move it in your body. Learn to move it to the heart to open up and allow yourself to feel full. It may also happen that you discover that there is a lot of pain, sadness, anger and all kinds of feelings stored.
The person suffering from depression usually sees no future in anything and all predictions are bad. Through the Tantra paths begin to be created within ourselves, making room for significant changes in our reality.
We will remember that this path is a process, it does not happen from day to night. You have to make a commitment to yourself. Another way in which Tantra helps in depression and through an energy trance.
Thus, one can reach our subconscious. Release layers of pain and emotional armor that have been built over the years.
With Tantra people can be taught to enjoy pleasure at levels they do not yet know. Not just sexual pleasure, (more specifically with the energy of orgasms), but a deep transformation of energy into pleasure.
A pleasure that spreads throughout our body. All these delicious sensations are powerful tools that penetrate directly into the subconscious mind. These tools provide the deepest healing path known to man.
With pleasure and through deep spiritual experiences, people can release the layers that are tightly closed to the depths of the subconscious (the ones that are creating a difficult and painful reality). Tantra, can begin a transformation, creating a more optimistic point of view.
Close your eyes. Perceive your whole body. Realize all the energy that goes through your body. Stand upright, with your knees semi flexed, your feet parallel and hold for 5 minutes. You will notice an increase in energy in the region of the thighs. Visualize this energy by going up. Going through the entire trunk until you reach the top of the head, while you extend your knees veeeery slowly. Then analyze your internal state. Take deep breaths.
